Kathryn Mary Knowles (Kathy) peacefully passed away on March 14, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 72 in Phenix City, Alabama. Born on May 2, 1951, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Kathy was a cherished daughter of Thomas and Catherine Egan (O'Hare). Her departure has left a profound sense of loss as we bid farewell to a dear soul who touched the lives of many.
 
 Kathy will be forever remembered for her exceptional kindness, compassion, and unwavering love that she shared with everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. 
 
 Along with her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 39 years, Thomas Knowles. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
 
 Left behind to honor her memory are her daughter, Kristine Suarez and son-in-law, Rene, along with her other children, Carol Nicols, Kimberly Trikas (Tony), Kristin Knowles, and Michael Knowles. Kathy held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, Thomas and Katie Suarez, and eight other grandchildren. Additionally, a great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. Kathy is also survived by her devoted sisters, Dorothy Gillon and Patricia Andrews (Chuck).
 
 A memorial service will be held at a later date in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to celebrate Kathy's cherished life. Details will be shared in due course.
 
 During this time of profound sorrow, let us remember and honor Kathy's life by cherishing the love, kindness, and compassion she bestowed on others. Her legacy will forever be an inspiration to us all, and her spirit will continue to guide us as we navigate the journey ahead. May she rest in eternal peace.
