CPT Kenneth Irving Barton, 79, of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 At Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL.

A funeral service is 12:00 noon Tuesday, February 13, 2018 with an 11:00 visitation prior to the service at Vance Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Mr. Barton was born August 9, 1938 in St. Louis City, Missouri to the late Donald Barton and Opal Lynn Barton. CPT Barton was a Vietnam veteran in the US Army, and served for over 16 years. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mazie “the love of his life” and a sister Carolyn Kobilus.

He is survived by his Fiancé, June Flores; children, Kenneth Crane (JoAnn) and Debra Kapitan; sisters, Janice McCain, Roxanna Crandall; (7) grandchildren, Jourdan Kroll (Marc), Kohl Kapitan, Dana Morel, Erin Campbell (Zachary), Samantha Weaver (Aaron), Morgan Weaver, Andrew Jones. (9) Great grandchildren, Michael, Richard, Raymond, Serenity, Madalyn, Shayleigh, Adam, Ava, Brayson, Amia, Ashton and many nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and many caring friends.
