Mr. Kerry Dwayne Johnson

Mr. Kerry Dwayne Johnson, 60, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 in San Antonio, TX.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm (EST) Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Midway Baptist Church in Smiths Station, AL with Rev. Jonathan Lewis officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 until 1:00 pm EST, one hour prior to the service, at the church.

Mr. Johnson was born December 8, 1961in Columbus, GA son of Peggy Sue Head Johnson and the late K. Dorval Johnson.  During his youth, he earned the prestigious Eagle Scout award.  Mr. Johnson spent most of his career in the transportation industry, where he had over 30 years of service as an over the road truck driver.  He was a very humble man, who never met a stranger.  Mr. Johnson was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Smiths Station, AL.  His passions were collecting antiques, NASCAR, Alabama football and big trucks.  Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Other than his mother, Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Pennie Harris Johnson of Smiths Station, AL; a son, Shannon Johnson and wife Brittany of Columbus, GA; a sister, Kim Shaw and husband Dwayne of Smiths Station, AL; a brother, Kelly Johnson and wife Michele of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Madison, Taylor and Brody; a host of  nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
