Kimberly Corbett “Kim” Carter

July 29, 1984 — September 5, 2021

Kimberly Corbett Carter, 37, of Opelika, AL passed on Sunday, September 05, 2021 while at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, Foley, AL.
A Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in honor of her life at Vance Brooks Funeral home in Phenix City, AL. Interment was in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Kim was born July 29, 1984 in Columbus, GA. Daughter of Steven W. Corbett and Gayla Albrecht Corbett. She was a Homebuilder and decorator working in the Opelika/Auburn area. Kim loved the water, especially the beach. She enjoyed watching boats, walking the beach, boating, and fishing with family and friends. Kim had recently taken up a new hobby, hunting with her husband, Mitch. A hobby she came to enjoy. The time spent in the woods was relaxing to her soul.
However, her favorite thing of all was shopping and decorating for herself and her family. She especially loved to shop for her two precious children, Corbett and Campbell. She spared no expense or overlooked any bargain while on these adventures.
We will remember her as a loving daughter, wife, sister and mom. Kim loved life to the fullest in the time we shared with her. Her time with us was far shorter than we wanted, however, her memories and the impression she has left on our lives will forever be in our hearts.
Kim was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John Wayne Corbett and Nina Thomas and maternal grandparents, Joseph N. and Sally G. Albrecht.
Survivors include her parents, Steven W. Corbett (Danna), and Gayla Albrecht Corbett all of Phenix City, AL; husband, Mitch Carter, Opelika, AL; two children, Campbell Jayne Culpepper and Corbett Edward Culpepper, Opelika, AL; sister, Kristi Corbett McCain (Josh), Bozeman, MT; brother, Steven Shane Corbett (Olivia), Auburn, AL; one niece, Emmie McCain and one nephew, Grayson McCain, Bozeman, MT; several friends.
