John-Christian Lane Musser, 25, of Phenix City, AL died on April 14, 2022.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 25, 2022 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Mr. Joshua Daughtry (his uncle) officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Lane was born May 6, 1996 in Spartanburg, SC son of John Musser and Krystina Daughtry McClain. He loved adventure from a young age. As a child he wanted to be a cowboy, his “Paw” even had a set of spurs custom made for him. After he graduated from Smiths Station High School, the adventures grew even bigger and bolder. Lane certified as a river guide and ski instructor. With these credentials and his tender heart, he enjoyed the outdoors and helped others enjoy the adventures also. He also had a love of music of any genre. He is now experiencing adventures now as we can only imagine. We will miss him so much, but the memories he has left us will always be cherished.
Lane was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willie Fred “Paw” Daughtry, Sr. who said Lane was his pride and joy; his uncle, Willie Fred Daughtry, Jr. who called him “Ace Coon Spoon”; and a paternal grandmother, Cheryl Musser.
Survivors include his parents, John Musser and Krystina Daughtry McClain; three siblings, Tara Musser Allen (Artavious), Tatum Lane and Gabe Tonogan; maternal grandmother, Dora Daughtry; paternal grandparents, Ricky Musser and Marilyn Hunter; paternal great-grandmother, Lee Hunter; two nieces and two nephews, Adaline, Tayven, Khemoni, and Amara Allen; numerous other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
