Lanelle Porter Tucker

Mrs. Lanelle Porter Tucker, 70, of Opelika, AL passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm EST (1:00 pm CST) on Tuesday, May 28, 2025 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Billy Duncan and Rev. Jacob Burdette officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 pm EST, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tucker was born August 11, 1954 in Phenix City, AL. She was the daughter of the late Preston Porter and Linda Keahey Porter. She was known as a lady with a big heart that dedicated her life to caring for her family. Other than loving on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her favorite hobbies included traveling, shopping and reading the Bible. Mrs. Tucker was a devoted member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Opelika, AL

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Gene Tucker; a brother, Ronald Porter and a sister, Martha Jo Walker.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Gene Tucker; children; Allan Tucker and wife Brandy of Beauregard, AL, Tonya Parker and husband Chris of Beauregard, AL and Lynn Back and husband Josh of Salem, AL; two sisters, Denise Peoples and husband Danny and Sheila Porter; a brother, Mitchell Porter and wife Jan; grandchildren, Sydney Winslett (David), Trevor McMullan (Deidre), Kendall Langley (Nathan), Kori Henderson (Taylor) and Carson Back; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Charlie, Connor, Miller, Baker, Annistyn, Kalum, Waylon, Walker and Kolsen; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including a special friend, Betty Morgan.
