Laura Christine Gilmore, 77, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, April 17, 2025, at Magnolia Manor Health Care in Columbus, GA
Ms. Gilmore was born on May 20, 1947, in Columbus, GA. She was the daughter of the late Clovis T. Shaver, Sr. and Mary Christine Corbett Kelly. She had worked as a production assembler for Master Lock in Opelika, AL for many faithful years of service. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, and anything to do with the University of Auburn sports. She had a sweet personality, enjoyed socializing, and loved everyone who surrounded her. She was a Christian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Madison Gilmore, and a brother, Clovis T. Shaver, Jr.
She is survived by her brother, Tommy Shaver of Andrews, NC; two grandchildren, Madison Gilmore, and Rustin Gilmore; several close nieces, nephews; other loving family members, and a host of friends and staff from Magnolia Manor Health Care.
Her family plans to hold a private celebration of life memorial service where she will be laid to rest in a very special place of remembrance.
The family would like to thank everyone from Magnolia Manor Health Care for their love and care shown through the years to Ms. Laura Gilmore. A special thanks also to all the staff and nurses from Columbus Hospice for their attention, tenderness and love.
