Lee Forsythe

Edd Lee Forsythe, 67 of Smiths Station, AL went home to Jesus on Saturday, October 14th, 2023.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 3:00 PM (EST) at Philadelphia Baptist in Smiths Station where Lee was an active member with Rev. Clay Duck officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday Evening at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL from 6-8 PM (EST).

Lee was born on October 4, 1956 to late Esther Phillips Smallwood in Anniston, AL.  After serving his country as a medic, he went on to retire as a GS12 Civil Service Fleet Manager from Fort Benning .

Lee enjoyed spending his time with his family and grandchildren that would light up his life. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, working in his shop and enjoying the beach.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Smallwood; three brothers, James, Johnny, Todd and one sister Yvonne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Christine Pitts, Sr.

He is survived by the love of his life of 45 years Gabriella Pitts Forsythe of Smiths Station; son, Daniel of Smith Station and a daughter, Jessica Vines of Auburn; daughter-in-law, Ashley Herring Forsythe; four grandchildren, Zoe and Jagger Forsythe, Olivia-Kate and Lucas Vines. As well as many loving sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and family.
