Linda Odom Baxter

Linda Odom Baxter, 59, of Pittsview, AL was called home on Thursday, January 19, 2023 while at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 PM (EST) on Monday, January 23, 2023 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Donald Edwards officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM (EST) until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

Linda was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1963 in Opp, AL daughter of Gerald Odom and Evelyn Henderson Odom. She was a homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family. Linda was from a small family in a small town, but she married into a huge family. A decision she never regretted. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she let everyone know it too. We are heartbroken to lose her so soon, but she has left us with so many great memories to cherish.

Survivors other than her parents, Gerald and Evelyn Odom, Monroeville, AL, include her husband of 38 years, Randy Baxter, Pittsview, AL; three children, Christopher Baxter (Chantal), Matthew Baxter (Kaitlin) and Elizabeth Baxter (Al Coogle); a sister, Lisa Smith, Monroeville, AL; eight precious grandchildren, Aiden, Ava, Emory, Cason, Harper, Maverick, Charlee, Ty; several nieces, nephews and friends.
