Linda Eldridge Tamor, 75, of Smiths Station, AL, entered her heavenly home on September 28, 2025. A visitation will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL 36867, directly followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm EST officiated by Pastor John Eldridge, Jr. A private burial will take place at a later date at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Linda was born on October 28, 1949, in Columbus, GA, to the late Quinton Eldridge and Lois Simmons Eldridge. Linda owned and operated Squeaky Kleen Cleaning Service until retirement. Throughout her life, she enjoyed fishing and tending to her flower garden. Linda looked forward to traveling, especially trips to the beach. Later in life she found enjoyment in reading and watching game shows. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was always a shoulder to lean on for anyone who needed her. Linda was forgiving, loving, and kind. Selfless acts were not uncommon, such as caring for others in times of need. She often left a maternal impression on lives she touched. Linda will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Quinton Eldridge; daughter, Connie Ann Gresham, husband, Richard Wayne Tamor; sister, Sarah Duff, sister, and Patricia Ann Daughtry; brother, Gary Eldridge, Sr; great-grandchild, Carter Meadows
She is survived by her children, Donna Marie Montgomery, David Tommy Gresham, James Mitchell Gresham, Julie Karen Gladish, and Derrick Wayne Tamor; grandchildren, Mitchell, Linda, Tom, Connie, Jessica, Terri, Amanda, Cody, Jordan, Raymond, and Quinton; brothers, Homer Jackson Eldridge and John Wayne Eldridge; and several nieces and nephews.
