Marilyn E. Robbins

Marilyn E. Robbins, 69, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM EST on Friday, June 30, 2023, in the chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home located at 3738 U.S. Highway 431 North Phenix City, AL 36867 with Pastor Dennis Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 PM EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robbins was born in Plant City, Florida, the daughter of the late Frank Jason Taylor and Voncile Messick Carroll. She met and married the love of her life James “Larry” Robbins and they later moved to the Phenix City, Alabama area. For a majority of her working career, she served as a teacher’s aide for special needs children and later as a Magistrate for Phenix City Municipal Court. She was a Baptist by faith and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Robbins loved cooking for her family and shopping from home. Above all she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially babysitting her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by one sister Shirley Pugh.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of fifty three years Larry Robbins; daughters Angela Harrison and husband Mike of Phenix City, AL and Amy Hancock and her fiancé Jeff Freeman of Phenix City, AL; sisters Carolyn Wright of Plant City, FL, Minnie Wright and husband Paul of Collinsville, AL and Wilma Lloyd of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Kobe Hancock, Jay Hancock, Matthew Hancock, Shawn Harrison, Amanda Harrison and Brandon Harrison and a host of loving friends and extended family.
