Mark Wayne Fredrick

Mark Wayne Fredrick, 72, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026. He was born on June 15, 1953, in Phenix City, Alabama, where he was also raised.

Mark was a man who found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life. He loved fishing and spending time outdoors, but nothing meant more to him than his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Smith and her husband Tim Smith, along with their son, Greyson; his son, Will Fredrick and his wife Amber Fredrick, along with their children, Millie and Watson; his brother, Ben Fredrick Jr, his wife Sherry Fredrick; his nephew, Ben Fredrick III and his wife Terry, along with their sons, Travis and Andrew, who were all very dear to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel Crocker Fredrick and Ben Fredrick Sr.

Mark will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet strength, and the time he cherished with those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM (EST) on Thursday, May 07, 2026, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Richie Ashburn officiating. A private interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
