Mrs. Martha Harris Teal

Martha Harris Teal, 88, of Seale, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Phenix City Health Care on Thursday, July 7, 2022.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM EST (9:00 CST), on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Seale United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brady Baird officiating. The family will receive friends after the service inside Seale United Methodist Church fellowship hall. In honor of Mrs. Teal’s passion for sweets, sweet tea and desserts will be served.

Mrs. Teal was born April 12, 1934, in Calhoun County, AL, the daughter of the late Robert C. Harris and Mattie Lou Kellum. She graduated from Seale High School and attended Birmingham Business College. She was a life-long faithful member of Seale United Methodist Church. She served her church through the giving of her time and offerings for the betterment of God’s Kingdom.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Teal was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Homer D. Teal.

Left to cherish her memory is one daughter Faye T. Meadows and husband Joe of Seale, AL; sisters Jennie Adcock and husband Blake of Newnan, GA and Judy Wallace and husband Bill of Trussville, AL, and granddaughter Allison Teal Nickless and husband Mark of Seale, AL.

The family would like to say a heart-felt “Thank You” to Sally Cook and the caregivers of Phenix City Health Care for their devotion and loving care of Mrs. Teal.
