Mary Helen Lerma

Mary Helen Lerma, age 59, resident of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown. Private services are being held at a later date.

Mrs. Lerma, daughter of the late Henry Lerma and Manuela Garcia Lerma, was born January 12, 1964 in Lordsburg, New Mexico. She was a homemaker and Catholic by faith. Mrs. Lerma enjoyed shopping, raising pets (including birds), and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ladon Lerma Shiver and a sister, Sylvia Brewer.

Mrs. Lerma is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ronnie Shiver of Columbus; one daughter, Franchesca Shiver of Columbus; two sisters, Suzi Jacome and Connie Lerma; one brother, Mike Lerma; two grandchildren, Ronnie James “Junior” Shiver and Anthony Joseph Shiver; many other relatives and friends.
