Mary Magdalene Osborne

Mary Magdalene “MawMaw” Osborne, age 90, resident of Salem, Alabama, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Thursday, October 20, 2022, 12 noon, with Reverend (Dr.) David Kees officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, 11 a.m. till 12 noon on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Mrs. Osborne, daughter of the late Edgar Randolph Doster and Mattie Vela Dawson Doster, was born June 23, 1932 in Barbour County, Alabama. She was a Christian and member of Smiths Station Baptist Church. Mrs. Osborne enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking, and hosting family reunions and events. She and her husband were extensive travelers, visiting all 50 states and Canada. She especially enjoyed taking trips with her family and friends. Mrs. Osborne was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She always looked forward to spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Osborne leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her husband of 71 years, James Richard Osborne of Salem, Alabama; one daughter, Sandra Thompson and her husband Brad of Lincolnton, Georgia; one son, Randy Osborne and his wife Donna of Phenix City; one sister, Marion Brannon of Crestview, Florida; six grandchildren, Carrie Jones, Justin Osborne and his wife Stephania, Barron Thompson and his wife Elena, Audra Palmer and her husband Tim, Malisa Anderson and her husband Wes, and Lara O’Kelley and her husband Will; 12 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
