Melba Joyce Wages

Melba “Joyce” Wages, 73, of Smiths Station, AL, passed away on July 19, 2025. A memorial service will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL 36867, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am EST.

Joyce Wages was born in Columbus, GA, on August 1, 1951, to the late Robert Wesley and Jimmie Lee Rossar. Joyce adored dogs, was a great cook, had quite the collection of handbags, and enjoyed watching old tv shows. She would watch old westerns and Christmas movies, especially on the hallmark channel. Joyce loved her family most of all. She enjoyed trips to family events with her cousins and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a sweet yet feisty woman and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Joyce Wages is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Wesley and Jimmie Lee Rossar; son, Patrick Shawn Clark; and siblings, Sybil Allison, Mary Ellen Rossar, and Bubba Rossar.

Joyce is survived by her son, Scott Clark; and grandchildren, Patrick (Kirsten) Clark and Parker Clark.
