Molly Marie Carter

Molly Marie Carter, 60, of Columbus, GA passed away Monday morning, May 21, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 pm EDT Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home (Vance Memorial Chapel) in Phenix City with Bro. David Helms officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 until 5 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carter was born October 25, 1957 in Birmingham, AL and was the daughter of the late Charles Vines and Doris Benton Kinny. She was a wonderful and easy-going person that loved her family. She retired from the Phenix city school system as a bus driver. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ray Vines and Billy Kinney, her dad, that raised her after her father died.

She is survived by her fiancé, Robert “Ripp” Gruttner, Jr.; children, Tammy Carnley and husband Michael, Billy Henderson and Benjamin Carter and wife Mallory; brother, Charles Milford “Sam” Vines, Jr. of Florida; sister-in-law, Sherolyn Sparkman, and sister-in-law Freda Vines; grandchildren, Cross Henderson, Jessica Barrick, Alice Ruth Ann Barrick, Ethan Carnley, Jacob Carnley, Matthew Carnley, William Carnley, Anthony Hand, Taylor Hand, Benjamin Carter, Jr., Tinsley Carter and Levi Carter; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
