Pastor Rock Keith Edmunds

Pastor Rocky “Rock” Keith Edmunds, 64, of Smiths Station, AL died at his home on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM (EST) on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Brother Ismael Valle officiating. The family will receive friends from Noon until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pastor Rock was born November 12, 1960, in Phenix City, AL, son of the late Ben Owen Edmunds and Sara Louise Lane Edmunds. He was the Pastor of Oasis Christian Center in Smiths Station, AL. Pastor Rock was also an avid amateur photographer who enjoyed capturing wildlife shots.

Pastor Rock had a deep love for laughter and was always ready with a joke or a story to brighten someone’s day. His sense of humor was as much a part of his ministry as his sermons. He cared deeply for his church family and poured his heart into serving and encouraging his congregation.

He had a soft spot for Peanuts comics and especially loved the Christmas season, finding joy in the music, the lights, and the time spent with family and friends celebrating the birth of Christ.

Pastor Rock was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Sara Edmunds and two brothers, Steve Edmunds and Rick Edmunds.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sharon Walker Edmunds, Smiths Station, AL; son, Ben Edmunds (Patty) and soon to arrive grandson, Jonathan Keith Edmunds; several other family members and friends.
