Patricia Ann White Fretwell

Patricia Ann White Fretwell, 63, of Seale, Al died at her home on Wednesday December 17, 2025.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM (EST) on Monday, December 22, 2025, in Seale Cemetery, Seale, AL with Rev. Jim Gilboy officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Mrs. Fretwell was born April 17, 1962, in Cape May, NJ daughter of the late David Burch White and Nellie Talton White. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. Mrs. Fretwell was a precious wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She had a green thumb and loved to grow flowers. It was nothing for her to purchase a tray of “dead” plants at Lowes or Walmart at a bargain only to revie them once she gave them her special TLC. Mrs. Fretwell and her husband, Jimmy, started a tradition of planting a fruit tree or fruit bearing vine in honor of each grandchild and great-grandchild. They now have a small orchard because of this lovely gift.

She was our rock and the glue that held us together as a family. We will miss her; however, she has laid a good foundation for us to continue to build our family.

Mrs. Fretwell was preceded in death by her parents, David and Nellie White and a granddaughter, Hanna Brooke Fretwell.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Jerry James “Jimmy” Fretwell, Jr., Seale, AL; four daughters, Christina Gail Brown, Tracy Ann Fretwell, Amanda Jill Mullins and Amanda Eve Smith; three sisters, Toni Rhea Steele, Sandra D. Boyce and Katherine Mancil (Jimmy); one brother, David B. White (Angela Sharee); nine grandchildren, Kailey, Kristen, Ciera, Chandler, Elissa, Ashlyn, Sammy, Bailey and Trent; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
