Patricia Darlene Corlee

Patricia Darlene Corlee, 75, of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 25, 2026. A visitation will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home (3738 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL 36867), on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am EST. Services will conclude with a committal service at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Patricia was born in Phenix City, Alabama, on May 12, 1950, to the late Lonnie Stamey and Mattie Lou Addison Stamey. After graduating high school, Patricia married the love of her life, Gerald Corlee, and remained his devoted wife until his passing in 2004. She worked as a medical record specialist at Azalea Trace Nursing Home for 25 years until retiring and loved attending church at Golden Acres Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed being outdoors whether it was camping, fishing, or working in her yard and gardening. She was known to rearrange her furniture often and enjoyed being at home. Patricia took a lot of pride in her home and yard. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, and spending time with her family and dog, Sasha. She was funny, always joking around, and made it known she loved to eat. Patricia will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie “Gerald” Corlee; and parents, Lonnie Stamey and Mattie Lou Addison Stamey. She is survived by her daughter, Amie Michelle Fretwell (Mark); son, Jason Scott Purvis; sister, Beverly Newsome; brother, Ronnie Stamey (Sue); grandchildren, Hunter Scott Purvis (Carley), Michael Owen Guerrero (Emily), Savannah Hope Blake (Hunter), Jackson Chance Fretwell, and Kristen Crittendon (Ross).
