Patricia Diane Short Oneal

Patricia Diane Short O’Neal, 69, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Thursday evening at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Monday, September 12, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel with Reverend Alan Griffith officiating. Interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Patricia was born on October 16, 1946, in Columbus, GA, the daughter of the late Earl Rudolph Short and Ella Mae Bryan. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William “Billy” O’Neal and a brother, Jimmy Lee Short.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula O’Neal of Phenix City, AL; 3 sons, Andy O’Neal, wife Denece of Phenix City, Frank O’Neal, wife Dorothy of Seale, AL and Jeff O’Neal of Newnan, GA; brother, Jerome Short of Smiths Station, AL; 9 grandchildren, Jay, Heather, Michael, Ryan, Blake, Carson, Adam, Brandon and Grace; close dear friends, Joy, Debbie and Becky; extended family members and many caring friends.
