Pauline Bruce was born in Brandon, England to the late Robert Walter Gentry and May Jarmin Gentry on January 31, 1929. Pauline met her husband, Marvin “Sid” Bruce in England and later moved to the United States with him. She always held a special place in her heart for England and missed all the beautiful cities and scenery but still enjoyed traveling to the west and Washington State with her husband once their children were grown. For many years, Pauline was a member of Wesley Heights Baptist Church, participating in numerous Sunday School groups such as Forever Friends Group that had dinner once a month and taught a Sunday School class as well. Later, Pauline became a proud member of Edgewood Baptist Church. She loved her church family and was devoted to the Lord, allowing her faith to guide her and encourage her sweet and genuine nature. Pauline was very sociable and loved volunteering at Muscogee Manor for 30 years. She also enjoyed gardening and adored her Hydrangeas and Amaryllis. Pauline was a wonderful cook and became known for her delicious pound cake. She was an amazing mother with an ability to balance her feisty personality with love and compassion to ensure her children always felt loved and cared for. Pauline will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Pauline Bruce is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Sid” Bruce; parents, Robert Walter Gentry and May Jarmin Gentry; and siblings, Marian Gentry and John Gentry.
