Peggy Jane Berry

Peggy Jane Berry, 54, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at her residence in Opelika, AL. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Peggy was born on February 2, 1959 in Chapel Hill, NC to the late William Robie Lincoln and Sara Mae Daspit. Peggy never met a stranger, loved people and was a member of Liberty Baptist of Columbus, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband Charles Edward Berry. Survivors include two daughters, Sara Dean of Columbus, GA; Shannon Steverson of Opelika, AL; four sisters, Laura Donaldson (Glen) of Columbus, GA; Kathy Palmer of Norfolk, VA; Betty Hamilton of Phenix City, AL; Susan Holding (Mark) of Lompoc, CA; four brothers, William Lincoln (Annmarie) of Albany, GA; James Lincoln of Columbus, GA; John Lincoln of Albany, GA; Bobby Lincoln (Debby) of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Jammall Dean, Alex King, Marissa Dean; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and several step-children and step-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Beulah Baptist Church at 5500 Lee Rd. 270 Valley, AL 36854.
