Queenie J. Glass

Queenie J. Glass, 92, of Columbus, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Phenix City Health Care. Funeral services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, March 26, 2022 beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Frances Corbin officiating. The interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vance Brooks Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service.

Queenie was born on November 14, 1929 in Lanett, AL to the late John W. and Maudie Johnson. She worked for several years at Muscogee Mills as a finisher and inspector. Queenie attended Harvest Pointe Church of the Nazarene.

Other than her parents, Queenie is preceded in death by husband James “Jack” D. Glass, Sr., sons Billy Wayne Glass and Mathews Eugene Glass, four sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include her son James D. Glass, Jr. (Norma) of Phenix City, AL, daughter-in-law Velinda Glass of Blakely, GA, sister Bertha Fay Smith of Clayton, GA, six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
