Rebecca Johnson “Becky” Nalls

Rebecca “Becky” Johnson Nalls, 81, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 01, 2023, with her family by her side.

Private Services will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Mr. William Carstens officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Becky was born December 27, 1941, daughter of the late Dover Johnson and Gertrude Mullen Johnson. She had retired from K-Mart after many years serving in various roles. Becky was proud to be both an “Army brat” and Army wife. She was also a proud graduate of Mannheim American High School in Germany. Maw Maw was all about family, movie nights, going to the beach, enjoying seafood and shopping. She also enjoyed playing word games on her iPad, however her favorite thing was going to the Casino. This experience was only enhanced by her family going with her. We have so many precious and happy memories to cherish. We miss her already, but she will never be forgotten.

Mrs. Nalls was preceded in death by her parents, Col. (Ret) Dover and Gertrude Johnson and her husband, SFC (Ret) Thomas Richard Nalls, a sister, Joyce Johnson.

Survivors include her two daughters, Tracy Nalls Huber (Dan) of Huntsville, AL and Kelly Nalls of Phenix City, AL; one son, Tom II Nalls (Jennifer), Phenix City, AL; sister, Pennye Anderson; six grandchildren, Candice Ellis Barker (Blake), SSG Taylor Ellis, Alyssa Barker, John Reid Nalls, Kailee Nalls Wilborn (Tyler) and Hayden Nalls; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Harrison and Kori; other family and friends.
