Ricky Van Buren Robbins, 62, of Phenix City, AL died at Piedmont Regional, Midtown, Columbus, GA on Saturday, January 08, 2022.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Alan Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till the funeral hour at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Mr. Robbins was born September 03, 1959 in Columbus, GA son of Sarah Helen Mathis Miller and the late Grady Van Buren Robbins. He was a 1977 Graduate of Smiths Station High School, and he had worked at Pratt & Whitney since 1985 where he was a Gauge Tech. Ricky was a loving man with a good heart. He loved his family, especially the grandchildren and doing family activities. Ricky was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he had a heart for the youth ministry. We will remember him for his generous heart, steady work ethic, deep commitment to family and Christian faith.
Mr. Robbins was also proceeded in death by is stepdad who raised him, George Clayborn Miller.
Survivors other than his mother, Sarah Helen Mathis Miller, Phenix City, AL, include his wife, Gwen Osborn Robbins, Phenix City, AL; two children, Dustin Robbins (Amanda), Columbus, GA and Dayna Choate (Chuck), Sharpsburg, GA; brother, Glenn Miller, Phenix City, AL; three step-sisters, Debbie Smith, FL, Kathy Bode and Susan “Susie” Hughes, both of TN; five beloved grandchildren, Saylor, Daelyn, Maddox, Reed and Marina; four special aunts, Martha Morefield, Mary Frances Head (Billy Ray), Barbara Sides (Billy) and Sandy Clay (Chuck); very good friend, Mike Taylor (Pegi), Columbus, GA; several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
