Robert Foster Valentine, Jr.

Robert Foster Valentine, Jr., 66, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EST, on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joshua Dempsey officiating. Interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST, at the funeral home.

Mr. Valentine was born on January 2, 1950, in Birmingham, AL, the son of Robert Valentine, Sr. and Betty Jean Bowman. He worked in drywall and was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Dempsey, grandson, Preston Valentine and brother, Tony Dees.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Charlotte Valentine; 3 children, Robyn Faglier, husband Tommy, Robert Valentine, III, wife Kearrie and Billy Valentine, wife Bettina; 3 siblings, Gordon Bowman, David Bowman, wife Emily and Allison Sneed, husband Tim; grandchildren, Joshua Dempsey, wife Adrienne, Johnathon, wife, Zully, Brittany Faglier, Courtney Faglier, Natalie Faglier, Robert Valentine IV, Taylor Valentine and Dylan Valentine; great grandchildren, Matthew Dempsey, Abigail Dempsey, Josiah Dempsey, Elizabeth Dempsey, Elijah Dempsey, Adrienna Faglier; nieces, nephews, extended family and many caring friends.
