Roger Lipscomb

Roger Lipscomb, 69 of Seale, AL, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EDT, on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Vance Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ritchie Ashburn officiating. Interment will be held at Seale Cemetery and the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Mr. Lipscomb was born on February 7, 1946, in Abbeville, AL, the son of the late, Elmer Lipscomb and N. E. Strickland. He was a Deacon at Silver Run Baptist Church and had a passion for turkey hunting.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Horne.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Nell Lipscomb; son, Cory Lipscomb, wife Catherine of Pittsview, AL; sister, Diane Howell of Abbeville, AL; brother, Leonard Lipscomb, wife Faye of Smiths Station, AL; grandson, Roger Dylan Lipscomb; extended family members and many caring friends.
