Mr. Ronald Sanders

Mr. Ronald Sanders, 64, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Robb Goodman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Sanders was born October 1, 1957 in Okinawa Japan, son of the late James Sanders and Carolyn King Haines.  He worked as a pipefitter in the construction industry for most of his career.  More recently he assisted friends in their lawn scaping business.  Mr. Sanders enjoyed watching sports, especially golf and Alabama football.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Sanders Free.

He is survived by a step-father, Fred Haines of Panama City, FL; a sister, Denise Sanders of Smiths Station, AL; brothers, Randy Sanders of Pinson, AL and Charles Haines and wife Michelle of Phenix City, AL; Kalynn McClellan Tabb of Columbus, GA; life long friends, Russell Head, Jack Baker, Richard Ogan and Terri Gibson; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
