Rose Hollis Hunt

Mrs. Rose Hollis Hunt, 78, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm EST Friday, June 13, 2025 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Ryan Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hunt was born November 8, 1946 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Willis Will Hollis and Ella V. Bailey Hollis. She worked for most of her career in the cosmetology field. Mrs. Hunt always had to have music playing because she loved music and dancing. Her other passions were her cats and watching the old TV shows. However, above all, she cherished spending time with her family.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ronnie Hunt; a daughter, Valerie Braswell; a sister, Ann Humphries and a brother, Joel Hollis.

She is survived by two children, Tracy Leonard and husband Danny and Troy Thomley and wife Cecelia; a step-daughter, Tracy Hunt Peacock and husband Mike; a sister, Wanda Griffin and husband Wayne; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-love, Kathy Tyson, as well as several extended family and friends.
