Roy Dean Hall, Jr., 63, of Smiths Station, AL received his “Heavenly Reward” on Thursday, December 23, 2021 while at Piedmont Midtown, Columbus, GA.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Lakeview Memory Gardens with Chaplain Randy Gardner officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Pallbearers include Hamilton Stubbs, Jody Hammett, Justin Allen, Jacob Allen, Adam Smith, Jeffery Hall and Seth Oglesby. The family will receive friends from 12:30 till 1:30 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hall was born September 24, 1958 in Troy, AL, son of the late Roy Dean Hall, Sr. and Lois Spivey Hall. Roy was a man of many talents, working at an asphalt plant and performing HVAC work. Mr. Hall loved Alabama Football and game days with family and friends. He was a great cook and was an excellent griller often cooking on game days. Mr. Hall was a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by his family, but he has left fond memories for us to cherish in our hearts.
He is survived by wife of 38 years, Susan Oglesby Hall, Smiths Station, AL; two sons, Andrew (Haley) Hall and Matthew Hall; one sister, Cathy (Randy) East; three sisters-in-law, Anida (Ron) Miles, Cindy (Johnny) Hammett, Pam (Randy) Gardner; brother- in-law, Stacey (Dawn) Oglesby; three grandchildren, Rylee Hall, , A.J. Hall and Landri Hall; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
