Sarah Ellen Hudson

Sarah Ellen Hudson, 81, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at her residence in Columbus, GA.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, December 23, 2017 beginning at 3:00 P.M. EST, with Dr. Marty O. Wynn and Pastor Dennis Jones officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at Parkhill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. EST until 3:00 P.M. EST.  

Sarah Ellen Hudson was born March 10, 1936  in Richland, GA to Harl Thomas Moore and Emmaline Taylor Moore.  Sarah was a member of Columbus Independent Baptist Church. She was a loving and dedicated Christian woman.

Other than her parents, Sarah is predeceased by her first husband, Algier Brown, daughter Patsy Rich and son Michael Brown .

Survivors include her devoted husband of eleven years, Lawrence Hudson; two step-daughters: Linda Gail Hudson of Columbus, GA and Felicia Ellen Foster (Daniel) of Marion County, GA; three step-sons: Kenneth Ray Hudson (Lisa) of Webster County, GA, James Leon Hudson of Columbus, GA and Jimmy Lon Hudson (Kelly) of Claxton, GA; sister Josephine Parrette of Salem, AL, as well as several nieces and nephews. She will forever be missed.
