Sue Howard

Mrs. Sue Howard, 75, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm EST, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Pastor Paul Meacham officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Howard was born October 23, 1950 in Ft. Benning, GA, daughter of the late George (G. W.) Sheppard and Reba Mae Cain Sheppard. She worked the majority of her career in the food service industry. Her passion in the last years of her life was her animals, both cats and dogs. However, above all she loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Howard was a member of City Gate Church in Phenix City, AL.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Denny Howard; a daughter Rebecca Lynn McNemar and son in law, Tod Carnes

Mrs. Howard is survived by a daughters, Tammie Mount and Amanda Hickman, both of Phenix City, AL; a son, Justin Simons and husband Steve of Phenix City, AL; a sister, Gloria Beck and husband Wayne; a brother, Wayne Sheppard and wife Patsy; grandchildren, Michael Mount, Kassie Adams (Brice), Brandon Hickman, Christopher Mount (Jordan), Cody Hickman, Kari Hickman, Tiffany Mount and Carley Mount; great-grandchildren, Lexi Adams, Benny Mount, Corbin Hickman, Avery Hickman, Brayden Hickman and Hudson Hickman; several extended family members and friends.
