In Loving Memory of Sun Jung Yoon

Sun Jung Yoon, age 66, of Columbus, GA, formerly of Jeonju, South Korea, passed away on February 5, 2024. She left a profound impact on the lives of those around her, dedicating herself to a life of service and devotion to God.

Sun Jung was a beloved member of the Korean Peace Baptist Church community, where she served as a Deaconess. She graduated from the Los Angeles Bible Institute and earned certification as a Christian Missionary, reflecting her deep commitment to spreading the teachings of her faith. Sun Jung played a vital role in the church, contributing to its growth and fostering a sense of community.

Known for her unwavering devotion to God, Sun Jung lived a life reflective of her faith. She was a pillar of strength and support for the elderly Korean community, providing assistance and companionship to those in need. Her selfless dedication to helping others left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

Sun Jung Yoon was not only a devoted servant of God but also a loving grandmother. Her family meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment spent with her spouse, Se Youl Yoon, and their children: Tammina Hart, Dae Yoon, Byeong Yoon, and Esther Yoon. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, which will continue to inspire generations to come.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jevon Hart, Jordan Hart, and Andy Yoon, who were the joy of her later years.

A viewing to celebrate Sun Jung Yoon's life is scheduled for Friday, February 9, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (EST) at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, located at 3738 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867. The funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 4:00 PM (EST) at Vance Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jai Baek officiating. After the service, a repass will be held at the family home. Your presence is warmly welcomed as we gather to remember and honor a life well-lived.
