Theron Yancey Johnson

Theron Yancey Johnson, 78, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2022, at Canterbury Health Care Facility.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM EST on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Robb Goodman officiating.
Yancey was born in Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia the son of Elvin Green Johnson and Louise Wilkes Johnson. After graduating high school in Camilla, Georgia, Mr. Johnson joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country for six years. After returning home, he began to oversee the operations of his father’s trucking company. Later, he began to drive eighteen wheeled trucks and became a cross country truck driver. Another interest in life was riding motorcycles. Above all, he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a brother Ben Johnson and a sister Martha Moon Powell.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Wilhelmina Jeannee Chatwood of British Columbia, Antonia Dennis of Calgary Canada; sons Yancey Melanio Carlos Johnson of London, Ontario and James Johnson of Columbus, GA; sister Regina Cain of Phenix City, AL; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
