Vickie Cochran, age 56, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, May 7,2023 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Thursday, May 11,2023 from 6-8 p.m. Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
Mrs. Cochran, daughter of the late Terry Reddish and Georgia Ruth Rogers Reddish, was born November 19,1966 in Columbus, Georgia. She graduated from Central High School in 1984, and later finished an Associate’s Degree with Columbus Technical College in Respiratory Therapy. After certification, she began working as a Respiratory Therapist with Columbus Specialty Hospital for over 15 years, where she served several patients in the Chattahoochee Valley area. Mrs. Cochran enjoyed taking trips to the mountains and the beach; fishing; decorating her home on all holidays; and enjoyed watching cooking, reality, and old classis movies on television. However, her greatest enjoyment was spending quality time with her grandchildren. The family remembers her as a loving and giving lady – both at her work and at home.
Mrs. Cochran is survived by her husband of over 31 years, Ben Cochran Jr. of Phenix City; one daughter, Brook Kiker and her husband Kasey of Smiths Station, Alabama; her son, Ben “Bubba” Cochran III and his wife Hanna of Phenix City; one sister, Ginger Matthews and her husband Kevin of Cataula, Georgia; two grandchildren, Luke Kiker and Beau Kiker; two nieces, Crystal Matthews and Erin Graham and her husband Jake; many other relatives and friends.
