Virginia Miller

Virginia Miller, age 79, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 12, 2021. Funeral services are scheduled at First Assembly of God, Phenix City, Alabama on Thursday, July 15, 2021, 2 p.m. with Reverend Barry Danner officiating, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Miller, daughter of the late James Alcus Parrish and Katie Mae Taylor Parrish, was born September 18, 1941 in New Brockton, Alabama. She retired from Bellsouth where she worked faithfully for 37 years. Mrs. Miller was an active member of First Assembly of God. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, and working in her yard. Mrs. Miller looked forward to trips to her hometown, and many years ago she enjoyed taking trips to the beach. She always enjoyed quiet time reading, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family. The family remembers her as a faithful Christian and witness of Christ.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Keith F. Miller; and a brother, James K Parrish.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband of 61 years, Curtis Miller; one daughter, Kristi Sanders and her husband, Jeff of Smiths Station, Alabama; two sisters, Jeri Mohn and her husband Bill of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Kathy Fears of Phenix City; one brother, Norman Parrish and his wife Pat of Phenix City; five grandchildren, Christin Miller, Stephanie Sanders, Blair Szemple, Hannah Downing, and Madison Sanders; several great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
