Wayne Euta Evans, 71, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown in Columbus, Georgia.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 24, 2022, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home – Phenix City, Alabama with Pastor David Dollar officiating.

Wayne was born on March 4, 1950, in Cuthbert, GA, the son of the late Alfred and Genevieve Palmer Evans. He was a self-employed entrepreneur for years, and a graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Wayne was an intellectual, who loved to restore and race older cars. He was an avid reader and loved his family. Wayne will always be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Carmen Evans; son, Matthew (Brandie) Evans; Sister, Carol Chrisman; two brothers, Marvin (Gayle) Evans, Larry (Dale) Evans; three granddaughters, Sarah Ann Evans, Racheal Emily (Clay) Tomski and Regan Williams; two grandsons, Bradley (Madison) Keeter, and Benjamin Evans; great-granddaughter, Oaklyn; and great-grandson, John Palmer; as well as several extended family and caring friends.
