September 23, 1948 — March 7, 2023

Wilbur DuWayne “Wayne” Bradshaw, Sr., 74, of Phenix City, AL passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 07, 2023.

A Service of Remembrance will be held from 11:00 AM till 12:30 PM at his daughter’s home on Saturday, March 11, 2023 according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Mr. Bradshaw was born September 23, 1948 in Phenix City, AL son of the late Wilbur O. “W.O.” Bradshaw and Gillie L. Coe Bradshaw. He was an Iron Worker with Local # 387 for over 20 years. He spent his career working in Atlanta, GA, but he was home every night so he could be with his family. His family was his life. Wayne was a great and loving husband, father and Granddaddy. He loved to shop, probably more than his wife, and they often traveled to Atlanta to shop and eat out. Wayne enjoyed anything that involved family to include trips to Florida, NASCAR (Atlanta, Talladega, and Daytona), ball games, recitals, you name it and he was there. Always looking for an adventure, he was ready at the drop of a hat. He has left us with so many great and loving memories to cherish. As a family we will never forget Granddaddy or his legacy.

Mr. Bradshaw was preceded in death by his parents, W.O. and Gillie Bradshaw.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Cheryl Becknell Bradshaw, Phenix City, AL; two children, Kim Bradshaw McCormick (Donny) and Kip Bradshaw; one sister, Lorene Garner; six special grandchildren, Allex Robinson, Kayla Green, Michael Warren (Amy), Gabriel McCormick (Madison), Elijah McCormick (Gabby) and Josiah McCormick; two precious greatgrandchildren, Waylon and Hudson (who arrived just hours after Granddaddy entered Heaven’s Gates); numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
