William Roy Rosso

William Roy Rosso, 81, of Phenix City, AL died at his home on Friday, February 13, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Jeremy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Rosso was born August 11, 1944, in Phenix City, AL son of the late Mack Rosso and Edith “Nita” Fuller Rosso. He was a long-time insurance agent working for various companies serving the community. Mr. Roy attended Golden Acres Baptist Church where he enjoyed Sunday School and worship.

He loved to be outdoors, hunting, fishing or just enjoying nature. Music was also a favorite, listening to various artists and styles. In his later years he enjoyed relaxing in his recliner with his cat and watching various TV shows.

We will remember him as a simple man who loved his family and the outdoors.

Mr. Rosso was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Nita Rosso and his wife, Susan Wright Rosso.

Survivors include his daughter, Brandon Bentley (Jack); three sons, Howard Rosso (Alania), Randy May (Latrell) and Robert May; one brother, Tony Rosso (Kathy); grandchildren, Kayla Rosso, Max Rosso (Makayla), Ransom May (Haley), Miller May, Reagan Bentley, and Nicholas Bentley; great-grandchild, Mila Jane Rosso (daughter of Max/Makayla); a special nephew, Jason Hall Rosso (Kathy) and close friend, Leigh Ann May; several other family members and friends.
